Emily Edwards, daughter of Greg and Korrine Douce and Patrick and Jackie Edwards. She is a 2000 graduate of Holmen High School and will be a sophomore at UW-L in the fall.

She will perform a vocal solo, Cant Help Lovin That Man of Mine. Jescie Rasmussen, daughter of Gordon and Tracy Rasmussen of Holmen. She is a 2001 graduate of Holmen High School and will attend UW-L in the fall. She will dance, One in a Million. Jesi Schott, daughter of Wayne and Deborah Storlie of La Crosse.

She is a graduate of Holmen High School and will be a sophomore at UW-Stevens Point in the fall. She will perform an original dance for her talent. Food distribution set There will be a free food distribution to the general public from 10 a.m.

to 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at Cathedral of Praise Church, Onalaska. Cathedral of Praise is located at 3340 S. Kinney Coulee Road, just past the Gundersen Clinic.

A donation of $12 is requested to help cover the cost of freight and refrigeration. Those attending are asked to bring their own bags and boxes. A different selection of food is available each month. Volunteers are needed from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug.

2, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 3. Volunteers also are invited to participate in the food distribution.

The distribution is provided through Creators Touch Ministries, Inc. Band parents to meet The Holmen Instrumental Band Parents will have their first meeting of the 2001-02 school year at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at the open shelter at the Town of Holland Hall on McHugh Road. The meeting will start with a potluck.

Please bring table service, beverage and a dish to pass. A business meeting will follow the potluck. This year, the Holmen High School band students will be going to Walt Disney World. Two fund-raisers are planned for August. A band rummage sale will be from 8 a.m.

to noon Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Holmen High School commons area. A bag sale will be at the end of the rummage sale. Also, the band will sponsor a root beer float booth at the Holmen Kornfest car show on Aug. 19.

More fund-raisers are planned throughout the year. Parents with students in the band are urged to attend the Aug. 6 meetingpotluck to find out more about the trip and upcoming band events.
